According to the Daily Mail from UK, the release date of the latest iPhone was 4th October, 2011 and the unveiling was supposed to take place at 10am PST and 6pm GMT. There was no statement form Apple whether it was iPhone5 or new iPhone4. Later on it was disclosed that the device was iPhone4s and not iPhone5.
